The Salvation Army – Social Media Management

The Brief: My local Salvation Army store was looking for someone to manage their social media presence for their thrift store and rehabilitation center. I worked mainly with the thrift store in Tampa and then ended up taking on 5 store locations in Florida and 3 locations in Maryland. Some of the work I went on to do with these stores ended up being used as the standard template for other store locations (outside of the ones I managed).

I became an expert in resizing artwork for different social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter (at the time). I also learned how to navigate more than just likes; I learned to address customer complaints, redirect messages to stores, and ran paid campaigns to increase interaction and promote sales.
